About Me

Hi! My name is Vlad Kulchitskiy and I am a 3D Modeler/Rigger/Animator.

I graduated from San Jose State University's Animation/Illustration program with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree and emphasized 3D Modeling and Animation during my studies.

I have always had a passion for creation, and digital 3D art allows me to explore and bring life to ideas and concepts. In my spare time, I enjoy outdoor activities like snowboarding and mountain biking, draw, study the natural world, and lightly dabble in scripting to help automate often repeated tasks.

Before pursuing a career in digital art, I studied computer science, programming, physics, chemistry, and mathematics in hopes of becoming a physicist. After several years, I decided that while all those things had (and still have) a strong foothold in my heart, they are not what I wanted to pursue as a career. This decision brought me to San Jose State, and 5 years later, I was 3D Artist. One of the reasons I love 3D modeling, rigging, and animation is because I feel it combines the creative process with the sciences in a unique and powerful way.
